Web design & brand

Your website, your webshop, and the brand around them

A website, a webshop or a whole brand — logo, identity and the site it lives on. Hand-built, and the source files stay yours.

What we make

From a single logo to the whole site

Websites, webshops and brands. It usually runs together, but there is nothing you have to take along with it.

Web design

No page builder, no off-the-shelf theme with forty plugins around it. That’s why these sites load fast, why they work as well on a phone as on a desktop, and why there’s nothing in them that doesn’t need to be.

WooCommerce development

WooCommerce runs on your own server and your own database, so you pay no percentage per order and nobody can change the rules underneath your sales. We build the theme by hand and keep the number of plugins as small as it can be.

Shopify development

From a custom theme to the integrations that keep your stock accurate. Which platform it becomes is a decision that follows the project, not the other way round — sometimes Shopify is the answer, sometimes WooCommerce. You’ll hear which before anything gets built.

Multilingual websites

With real URLs per language, hreflang that is correct, and a translation that doesn’t need a plugin of thirty thousand lines. This site runs on it itself, in six languages — so you don’t have to take our word for it, you can switch at the top of the page.

Branding

Name, colour, type and tone should say one thing — consistently, whether someone meets you on a shopfront, an invoice or a phone screen. We start with what actually makes your business different and work outwards from there: identity, house style, and the rules to keep it going when we’re not around.

Brand guidelines

The document that sets out how your brand works: which colours, which typefaces, how much room the logo needs and what not to do with it. So the printer, the photographer and a new colleague all read it the same way.

Graphic design

Print, packaging, social, presentations and everything in between. The difference is in the details you only notice when they’re missing: files your printer can handle without phoning you, formats that are right, and a template you can edit yourself without it falling apart.

UI/UX design

Screens that feel obvious because someone thought about the order, not because a trend was followed. We draw the flow before we draw the pixels — that’s where most of the time and most of the frustration is won.

And more

What design covers, roughly

Not a menu but a selection, grouped by where it ends up. Missing something? Just ask — this list is shorter than what we actually make.

Why by hand

A template costs you the very thing that sets you apart

No page builder, no off-the-shelf theme with forty plugins around it. That’s why these sites load fast, why they work as well on a phone as on a desktop, and why there’s nothing in them that doesn’t need to be.

In design that counts double. A theme off the shelf is the same theme a hundred others are running, and what makes you different is then precisely the one thing it doesn't contain.

Yours, not ours

The design is yours too

With design work it isn't about code but about files and licences, and it is arranged the same way: what we make belongs to your brand, and you can carry on with it without us.

You get the source files

Not just a PDF and a PNG, but the working files they come from. The next designer can pick those up — which is exactly why they are sometimes held back.

You know what your identity rests on

A brand running on somebody else's licence is a brand you can lose. So on handover you are told which typefaces and images sit underneath it, and whose name they are in.

Hosting is a choice

We’re happy to run it on our own servers and keep it up to date. If you want to put it somewhere else, you can — that’s a move, not a break.

How it works

You watch it take shape

There’s deliberately no lead time here: it differs per project, and a made-up promise is worth nothing. What does always hold is that you see it take shape instead of waiting months for it.

01

First who you are and who you are after

What you make, for whom, and how you differ from the rest. Without that answer a logo becomes a matter of taste, and nobody wants a meeting about taste.

02

One direction, not a fan of options

You get one worked-out direction to respond to, not a row of variants to pick from yourself. Choosing is our job; you say whether it is right.

03

You look on while it is being built

The site sits on an address you can open early on. That way you see it grow and can steer as you go, instead of finding out at the end.

04

Live, with the files handed over

We put it live, tidy up whatever still rattles and hand over the files. If you want us to keep it up to date we will — but it has to work without us too.

And the software?

If it runs deeper than a site, we build that too

A webshop that has to hang off your stock, a portal where customers log in themselves, or the system your whole business runs on. That is the same studio, not a party we bring in.

It often starts that way too: while mapping out a site it turns out the real problem is in the admin. You will hear that as well, even when it turns into a bigger job than the one you came for.

A site, a brand, or both?

Send one sentence about what you want to make. Then you will hear how we would approach it, and what is and is not needed.
